Vice President changes in Hempel

Current Group Vice President for Hempel South & East Asia, Pernille Lind Olsen, becomes new Group Vice President for Hempel Europe & Africa starting on 1 July 2020. At the same time, current Finance Director for Hempel Middle East Jonathan Mercer will take over Pernille Lind Olsen’s position as Group Vice President for Hempel South & East Asia.

Pernille Lind Olsen has been with Hempel since November 2013. Since then, she has held positions as Group Product Director, Group Product & Portfolio Director and, most recently, Group Vice President for South & East Asia.

“Pernille is known for her business-focused leadership style and she makes an excellent role model for anyone looking to see our Leadership Behaviours in action. She has an ability to translate strategy into execution and delivering on results. This has been clear in her work in South & East Asia, where she has engaged the full organisation in turning the business around. Pernille encapsulates our value of constantly challenging,” says Lars Petersson, Group President & CEO.

Jonathan Mercer joined Hempel-owned Crown Paints in 2008 as Commercial Controller. He moved to the Middle East in 2015 as Finance Director for Hempel’s Middle East region.

“Jonathan manages to combine financial acumen with commercially-oriented leadership. He fully embraces personal development – both his own and others’. He is a very strong role model with the ability to create a strong following beyond his own team,” Lars Petersson continues.

Jonathan will like Pernille become a member of Hempel’s Operational Management Board.
