Hempel is on an exciting sustainability journey, not just internally but also externally. We want to do even more to help our customers achieve their sustainability goals and work with governments, academia and other organisations to set an ambitious sustainability agenda for the industry. Dorthe is the ideal person to lead this work.”

Dorthe comments: “I’m pleased and excited to be joining Hempel at this time. Coatings are essential to sustainability as they extend the useful lifetime of structures, buildings, equipment and other assets, and reduce maintenance requirements. This helps companies lower their carbon footprint. Hempel has a clear desire to make an even bigger difference, and I’m happy to be part of that work.”

Dorthe Scherling Nielsen will join Hempel on 1 October.
