New Head of Sustainability and Government Affairs
Dorthe Scherling Nielsen joins Hempel on 1 October to lead the company’s ambitious sustainability work.
Sustainability is a central pillar in Hempel. The company has a stated desire to lead the coatings industry in the sustainability space. To drive this goal forward, Hempel has appointed Dorthe
Scherling Nielsen as Head of Sustainability and Government Affairs.

Dorthe has extensive experience within sustainability and government affairs and has held leading positions at a number of companies, including Vestas, Nike and Bestseller.
As Head of Hempel’s Sustainability and Government Affairs team, Dorthe will lead the development and implementation of Hempel’s global sustainability and government affairs agendas, with primary focus on Hempel’s value chain and a more proactive approach to government affairs.Dorthe comments: “I’m pleased and excited to be joining Hempel at this time.
