Eric Alström
Group President and CEO
Eric Alström is Group President and CEO of Hempel, a position he stepped into in August 2026. A Swedish native, Eric brings more than 30 years of international leadership experience across the industrial technology, automotive and manufacturing sectors, having held senior executive roles in Europe, the USA, Japan and China.
Prior to joining Hempel, he served as President of Danfoss Power Solutions, leading the company’s largest global business segment and driving profitable growth and strategic expansion. Eric also served as Vice Chair of Hempel’s Board of Directors from 2017 to 2024, giving him deep insight into the company’s business, culture and long-term ambitions. He holds a Master’s degree in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
