Steen Niemann Madsen to join Hempel’s Executive Group Management

Steen Niemann Madsen to join the Executive Group Management of Hempel A/S as Executive Vice President, Energy & Infrastructure from 15 October 2022. Steen will succeed Michael Hansen in the position on the assumption of Michael’s new role as Hempel’s Group President and CEO.

World leading coatings company, Hempel A/S, announces the promotion of Steen Niemann Madsen to Executive Vice President, Energy & Infrastructure. Steen will succeed Michael Hansen in the position from 15 October 2022, when Michael Hansen steps into the position of Group President and CEO of Hempel A/S. With the appointment, Steen will become part the Executive Group Management. 

Steen comes from his current position at Hempel of Vice President, Infrastructure EMEA. He has previously held the role of interim Group Vice President for Europe & Africa, and prior to this, he was Business Area Director, Northern & Eastern Europe. 

“Steen has an in-depth knowledge of Hempel, first joining the company in 2014, and has a strong track-record in leading successful and thriving teams. Steen will ensure that we keep momentum in the Energy & Infrastructure segments and will be a great addition to the Executive Group Management,” says Michael Hansen, Executive Vice President, Energy & Infrastructure.
