Fouling release

Paint Technology, Antifouling coatings - Ship owners require protection of their vessel both above and below the water-line. HEMPEL has, over many years, developed efficient antifouling coatings which are able to protect surfaces from growth of marine organisms for up to 5 years. With the future of the environment in mind, HEMPEL has developed biocide-free systems and "non-stick" fouling release coatings.

Fouling release
The two main technologies to prevent fouling today are antifouling and fouling release coatings.

Hempel offers a range of silicone based fouling release coatings for vessels with high activity and/or speed. HEMPASIL 77500 – the high-activity approach to surface coating, and HEMPASIL 77100 – the fast track for surface coating.
